Alfonso de Borbon had a life marked by the death of one child in a car accident in Navarra. The Movie TV takes a tour of their desires to reign instead of Juan Carlos I, and their efforts to form the family he never had during his adolescence and youth. The miniseries begins in the early 50′s, when Alfonso de Borbon, the grandson of Alfonso XIII and cousin of Juan Carlos I, arrived in Spain with the intention of winning the crown in a time when Franco was looking for a successor for the Headquarters State. After a brief romance, he married Carmen Martínez-Bordiú, the granddaughter of the dictator. However, their marital bond does not allow the young Bourbon to the throne.
Although the couple is unable to realize their political expectations, he received the Duchy of Cadiz and enjoys a privileged position thanks to Franco´s favor. After his death, a horizon of uncertainty hangs over them.
The staging of “Alfonso, el Príncipe maldito ‘has been very careful. A long list, headed by Pardo Royal Palace in various locations in the capital have served as the setting for the miniseries, as well as other buildings in Madrid: Palacio Fernan Nunez, the Ritz hotel, the Quinta del Pardo, the church of San Mark, Isabella the Catholic school and the spectacular gardens of Sabatini. The costumes have been working in a sophisticated and used 2.147 costumes.
